What I Do:

I assess the musculoskeletal system and treat muscles and joints by using various
hands on techniques that knead and stretch soft tissue.  Massage Therapy techniques
increase circulation, flexibility, and joint mobility, and produce relaxation for the
mind and body.  In turn, these effects decrease muscular tension, relieve pain,
decrease stress, improve posture, increase range of motion in joints, prevent pain and
physical dysfunction, and provide a feeling of rejuvenation.
Who Can Benefit From Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is used by adults and children of all ages for a wide range of
conditions such as stress, headaches, and chronic back pain.  People may also use
massage therapy to alleviate symptoms associated with such conditions as
fibromyalgia, arthritis, and repetitive strain injuries.  There are really
many more
conditions and groups of people (such as athletes or pregnant women) who can benefit
from regular therapeutic massage. I will discuss this more in depth in the
Massage
Therapy Articles
section of this website.
